Welcome to Parents for Independence, Inc. We are dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality residential care and life-skills training for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to foster a safe, therapeutic, and normalizing home setting that empowers our residents to build self-reliance, acquire independence, and live fulfilling lives within their communities.

We proudly operate two staff-operated residential facilities designed to serve individuals with mild developmental disabilities by offering age-appropriate, supportive care tailored to each unique resident:

Bragg House – Located in Grass Valley, CA. Matlack House – Located in Lincoln, CA.

Our homes are fully licensed by the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing, and vendored by the Department of Developmental Services through the Alta County Regional Center. We strictly operate in accordance with Title 17 and Title 22 regulations.
